I've just picked up this HJ commemorative badge. The detail on the obverse is quite fine, but I am concerned with a couple of things - firstly, the number '1' in '1923' is slightly lower than the other date numbers, as is the last '3' in '1933'. I've seen this on other versions of this badge which are said to be original. My other concern is the reverse - where I have just noticed on another forum where it is suggested this type of reverse is indicative of a fake.
Any comments or opinions on this would be appreciated.

Regards
Russell

I'm not happy with that one.The reverse is not like either the solid or hollow ack original versions and the front lacks quality .Also all the originals I have in my collection are maker marked H Wittmann ,Munchen , I believe this should always be the case with these badges. But stand corrected.

I aggree don't like this one at all the reverse does not conform to any known period pieces. This looks like one out of POLAND

I have 7 or 8 of these ,will try to geta picture tomorow after work. Don't worry about the '1' and the '3' being lower they always are like that on the originals. They are faking these badges though, so be aware.

Here's a shot of the fakes from the Polish company. Looks to be a match to me.

Cheers
